What a week!

It's been a bit of a crazy week. I had a beautiful few days at Hilton Head Island. I could have stayed there forever. I ran my two-miler on Tuesday at the beach. Wednesday I ran 4 miles throughout Sea Pines Plantation. Thursday I took a break so I could rest for the Peachtree on Friday.

The Peachtree was pretty crazy! At 6:30 on Friday morning, it was 75 degrees. Needless to say, by the time we started pretty close to 8 it was pretty brutal. Somehow I caught a cold on vacation, so I wasn't feeling the best either. I was pretty slow, but I made it through the race and had some amazing people watching in the process.

This morning I got my 9 mile run in. Tina is hosting two elite runners that are in town for the Peachtree (one placed third), so they were running this morning as well. They're very speedy and super impressive. Also running at the river was the winner of the Peachtree. He ran in long sleeves and long pants - apparently heat doesn't bother him.

I'm headed to Indy and Illinois for most of this week, so hopefully I'll have some cooler runs in my future!

my gooooodness you travel alot!!! I did a ten mile on Saturday...very slow myself! I saw a t-shirt the other day that said, "I'm slow...get over it!" I might be needing something like that to wear for the marathon. You're doing it!!..and even while travelling all around the world! go you! I just stay here in iowa all the stinkin' time!:)

Yes, it's pretty much non-stop these days! I'm looking forward to a little bit of a break in August. I'm so ready to be home for more than just a couple of nights at a time.
