Why am I training in Georgia?!

The above title can be taken a few ways - but mostly the heat just sucks! Running in Indiana and Illinois was great and made me realize how much easier this marathon thing would be if I was training there.

Sunday morning I got up and ran at Lake Storey in Galesburg. It brought back many memories of my Cross Country days (I wasn't very fast then either), so that was a little weird - but it was just a beautiful run. It was probably about 65 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. I could not have asked for a better place to run. Unfortunately, my legs are starting get pretty tight, so I could have felt better - but running in a beautiful place make it much easier. Luckily, I have a sports massage appointment for next week, so life should be a bit better after that.

This week's travel is taking me to Maryland! I'm excited for a couple of good runs on the water in Annapolis.
